Small Group Resources – Community Opportunities

Here at Venue Church, We Do Life Together! Small Groups are where you can do just that. As a Small Group Facilitator, you lead the way in building community among your group.

The best way to build a strong community in your group is to create a culture of family-like support throughout the week, not just during the timeframe that your group meets together. Below are some opportunities that you can build community with your group outside of your normal meeting times.

Small Groups That Serve Together, Stay Together
A great way to get to know each other personally and build camaraderie among your group is to serve together! Here are some upcoming opportunities to serve together this season.

Ice on the Landing
Address: 1400 Market St, Chattanooga, TN 37402
Open Dates/Hours
What to do: Invite your group to go ice skating together. Take this opportunity to build community among your group, but also be strategic while you are there to have intentional conversations with the people around you for outreach and invite people to join you at Venue on Sunday. Set a goal for your group members to each invite one person while you are out during this opportunity.

Tip: Purchase of skating ticket not required; if someone wants to join but cannot spend the money on ice skating they are welcome to join the group in hanging out around the rink, watching the skaters, and chatting with group members.

**Small Group Challenge Details: Earn bonus points for your group per participant with this opportunity! Earn 85 points per participant when you post a picture of your group doing life together at Ice On the Landing with the hashtags #FallSmallGroupChallenge and #WeServeLikeCrazy.
*Bonus points per participant: 85 Points
